Speech-language pathologists, SLPAs and other speech-language professionals can support children in the school setting by providing therapy services within the classroom environment. When used appropriately, this model can improve client outcomes and help our clients make faster progress in therapy. This presentation will includes 5 different co-teaching/classroom-based service delivery models with examples at all grade levels (preschool-high school). Plus, we’ll cover data collection and how to select therapy targets as well.

- Describe 5 different types of push-in/co-teaching therapy that can be conducted by the SLP in the classroom environment.
- Describe two different ways to collect data during push-in or classroom-based therapy.
- Describe how to work with classroom teachers to choose a model that works well for the client while promoting a positive working relationship between the SLP and the classroom staff.

Carrie Clark is the founder and owner of Speech and Language Kids, a website that is focused on the pediatric side of speech-language pathology.
